These wines, with a gentle appearance and a nice pink colour are an excellent choice for independently sipping on a hot summer day. However, they may be combined with some light food, and as such are ideal refreshing wine for summer pleasures. Excellent for served as an aperitif in the summer months, with seafood, especially oysters and raw shrimp, as well as with light meat dishes and snacks.

The best wines of the world are mostly blends of several cultivars. Likewise, and in Croatia increasingly we come across a number of good cuvées. The reputable winemaking companies trying, by blending their best wines, to "set" the base wine, from which they will produce the ultimate product. Such a nice, creamy and mineral wine should be served with shrimp, the best white fish, but also with veal chops, the best roasted chicken or boletus and Chanterelle.

Orange vines are produced from white wine grapes where the skins are not removed and stay in contact with the juice for anywhere from a few days to months, or even years in some rare cases (some even do it in amphorae dug into the ground). The color of a wine comes less from the flesh and juice than from the skin. They are, for example, highly compatible with complex appetizers on a truffle base as well as with the main course of fish and white meat, but also with fine cheeses and desserts.
